Collaborating with lighting designer, Sam Whiteside and Bombay Sapphire, we have taken over The Clock Hotel in Surry Hills, Sydney from 15th October to 15th November 2020 to bring an immersive light and sound experience in it’s courtyard.
The organised systems that humans create have an inherently finite life-span, which inevitably give way to the apparent chaos of nature when left unattended. Re-Claimed is an observation of urban decay and the eerily beautiful tension between humans and nature. The piece centres around a monolithic lighting sculpture which will be programmatically responsive to an accompanying score and sound design – giving the piece an ever-evolving, performative aspect.
Our five-week takeover includes a live performance on every Thursday with Sam Whiteside.
