YAYALAND is artist, Andrew Yee’s most fully realised body of work to date. The expansive body of work explored how our collective struggles, anxieties and conflicts of identity can give birth to the colourful, imagined worlds in which be inhabit.

YAYALAND is defined by it’s often confused and aloof inhabitants, characterised by their ink-blot, cartoon-inspired features. Yee illustrated his characters with a sense of angst and desperation, entering scenes of mass protest, graphic car crashes and school yard fights – just to name a few. Yee has created a world that is littered with an array of wild images that clash together: humour, violence and surrealism into something wholly original.
